Learning about Authority

Wow. Authority is such a very big word sometimes. Lately I have been trying to figure out Authority and how it works. Its been quite a challenge and I have made mistakes in this area. It has hindered relationships in some ways, but has helped me grow also in the mistakes that I have made. With those mistakes I know there are consequences and I will have to except them in whatever ways they may come.

Authority can mean differently depending on the person and there personality. SOmetimes it does feel like there are two many chiefs and not enough indians. It can become frustrating at times to figure out who to go to and what they will think about how you feel or what you have to say. Building relationships with authority figures can be a struggle until you get to know him or her, but through time God can use them to Mentor you in so many ways. I am finding that I must not be so quick not being able to trust, but to trust that God will fullfill whatever things he wants to fullfil in each relationship. Yes you must take things as they come, but I have learned lately sometimes you have to take risks and see what may become of it. Yes in certtain situations right now I am taking those risks that is if I get the oppertunity to, but if I dont I have to realize that maybe its nots Gods timing yet.

Yes I do have goals that I would like to acheive some day, but I have to learn to earnestly wait for what the Lord may have for me. He knows the desires of my heart and knows what I would like to do one day. Its just in his timing, and he will bring those to mentor me in the meantime. SO guys, when you are faced with authority figures, love them and pray for them. Give them your best, but also keep the lines of comunication open. Its so very important. Know and understand that they love you but have to make the best decision in there on ways. God will guide in each situation, and put us where we need to be.

  1. Hey Kelly,
    Good Post!
I have also struggled with trust - you know who to trust and basically how to trust. Several years ago the LORD really helped me with trusting Brothers and Sisters in the LORD - You may not trust the person, but you can trust the GOD inside the person. When we have conflicts arise and we will - we must pray and totally trust GOD inside of all that is involved....
