The Call

Last night, I came across this song after not listening to it for quite some time. As I began to listen to it the words of the song just filled within my spirit. I knew I needed to share. I listened to it over and over. I hope it blesses you just as much as it blessed me. These are the first couple of verses. Let it speak to you.

For the sake of the call
I am laying down my all
No turning back

All of us have a calling on our lives as Christians to share the good news to others. Its a choice we make upon being saved. We lay down it all, but sometimes we really don't do we. When becoming a Christian we can't turn back. We struggle at times to become more like Christ, and give up pieces of ourselves. Its not easy, but the more we do it, the easier it can get. I have been doing this a lot lately, and becoming separate from others around me. Its been quite interesting to see the changes in my life. Its been totally worth it. I don't want to turn back that is for sure. For the first time in a long time I feel for sure that I am on the right track. Its all for the sack of the call that I know that God has on my life. So whats your call? Is it telling others about him, evangelism, prophecy, working with children, music, media, etc. Find out what your talents are and that could be your calling to. Its quite amazing what you find in searching! Its all worth it for the call.

It was on a day like no other
Seeking your face when I discovered
My life was no longer my own, but yours
Then I heard you say, Go and tell them
To open your heart, let me in and I will supply your every need
Then I cried, Lord, I dont know if I can do it
You will find your strength in me. Only believe
Then I said, What if I fail? I just couldn't take it
He said, I have given you my ability

This is the first verse. A lot of us have a specific time and day that God calls us. Some of us don't. We just know for sure that he has called us and that is all we need to know. Some of us know that we are called, but God takes us through a process that we need to go through to become stronger in him. We just have to seek his face and pray a lot. Sometimes this can take weeks, months or even years. I can relate to the years part myself, but its been so totally worth it. Its a process a lot of us have to go through. I have learned through it all that my life was never mine, but its his, but I continue to give him little by little. Its amazing what sacrifice can do in your life. We have to just open our hearts. That is all it takes. I do think we as humans have less faith in ourselves than what God has in us. If God calls us then we should know we can do it. Its point blank!! Its a part of growing and trusting. We have to believe that he can do it within us. We will fail and that is certainly a guarantee, but just because we fail does not mean the calling changes or that there is a less of a call on our life's. We just have to learn from the failure and move on. If anything, the calling becomes stronger on us within our failures!!!!

Sister, let me encourage your heart
Brother, leave doubt behind, stay your part
Know that hes with you, yes, Hes there all the time
You may feel like you cant go on any longer
Though you are weak, remember hes stronger
Through Him you can do most anything
You might cry Lord I dont know if I can do it

You might say, What if I fail? I just couldnt take it.
He has given you the ability

This is the second verse. We as brothers and sisters in Christ need to encourage each other. That is so very important. A little encouragement can go such a long way. It has in my life. We don't need to doubt, but just hang in there. God has something around the corner if we will just wait for his blessings. He is with us, and will always be. I know there are times when we don't feel like he is, but he is. We just have to push on in those times, and press even so much more toward his arms. That makes such a difference. Even if you feel like you can't go on, keep going and have faith. He is stronger within us and will get us through. We can't do it, but he can do it all through us. We will fail, but his grace will guard us and help us get through it. He has given us everything to fulfill the call he has on our lifes. We just have to beleive it!!!

Of the high calling of God in Jesus our Lord

See, in this life we work toward one certain thing as Christains. We keep going for the sake of the calling he has on our lifes and his kingdom. We risk it all for the call. Keep going for the call. I can say you will make a difference in a lot of lifes, and at the end it will be worth it all to see Jesus in all his Glory!!!
