ER

Well you must be thinking why do you have title er on here. Well today I had two interesting experiences with my son. At the aquatic center this morning he had hit his head against the wall and had a big cut. So took him to the pediatrician which in turn sent me to the ER. Surprisingly he done really well. The only time he cried was when they stuck the needle in him to num it. The nurses were so wonderful and were so good with him. I would have to say thanks to Nurse Erin for having such a tender heart toward him. It was certainly a blessing to me. Then tonight as we got him ready for bed he was playing and fell agian. With that fall two of stitches came out so back to the ER we go. Luckliy the other two stitched had not come out so it was holding the skin together. So they went ahead and put glue on the rest. I was so glad.

After the days events I begin to think about the word ER. I dont know why but I came home with the word everlasting rest. Lifes situations can make you feel really tired at times and feel like your whole world is just crashing down. Instead of depending on people or the world to fullfill our needs, we need to turn to walk and pray into Gods ER (everlasting rest). Its much simpler than doing it by the worlds standards. His way you walk in his peace and rest that the world cannot give. There is not hurt along the way and its eternal. God is rest, and when we have a bad day the best way to end it although we might be tired is resting in his arms by praying to him and thanking him for the strength to get through the bad day was just had, but be thankful that we also have more days that are good.

God is a good god and wants to give us rest. The question is will we let him give it to us?
